• Control over the card selection and presentation (random vs sequential order, specific number of cards or maximum duration of time).
• Control over the display of cards (font, alignment, etc.).
• Ability to define an accuracy aim and up to 4 fluency aims.
• Ability to monitor students' performance both in terms of accuracy and fluency using either a graph (screen shot) or a tabular format (screen shot).

Flashcard viewer features

• Four answering modes (fill-in blanks, multiple-choice, say answer, mixed mode) and two practice mode (view cards, revise incorrect answers) (screen shot)
• May be configured to accept partially typed answers.
• Can display text and graphics (*.BMP;*.WMF;*.EMF;*.JPG;*.JPEG) and play sound (*.WAV), music (*.MDI; *.MP3), and movie files (*.AVI)
• Optional feedback for both correct and incorrect answers (sound, right answer, suggestions or explanation).
• User can monitor his performance both in terms of accuracy (arithmetic chart) or fluency (semi-log chart), and assess his progress toward instructional aims.

Program requirements

PracticeMill is currently available in 32 bits version (Win 95, 98 or NT) and requires about 2,8Mb of hard disk space. The flashcard viewer alone requires less than 600K so it can be installed and executed from a single floppy disk.
